6 Reasons to Attend Dine Ph

Last March 2-3,2017, I was able to attend Dine Ph at The Promenade, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.I admit that I love to eat: who's not? anyway. Yet, I still have more than a ton of things to learn about the flourishing food industry here in the Philippines.
I must say that besides the fun part of this event, I was able to learn a lot. So let me  share my thoughts on why you should not miss this event.

1.  D edicated for everyone
If you’re thinking that this event is merely for culinary or tourism students, then think again. With diverse topics discussed by experts from their respective fields,Dine Ph will not only broaden your knowledge in the food and tourism industry but may also jump-start your culinary business ideas into reality.
Whether you are a student who is eager to learn or an entrepreneur with a vision to succeed — Dine Ph is definitely for you.

2.  I nnovative Ideas
Listening to the speakers gave me a different perspective on how should I look into things.

Say for instance, when Jai Ferrer of Pronic Foods discussed about the Phenomenon about the Farm to Table, he made me realized that more than capitalizing on what's around you, you should also take part in giving back to your own community. You see, doing business need not to be for personal gain alone but also can be for uplifting local industry through innovative ideas and collaboration.

3.oble Cause
Possibly, what’s missing here in the country is that we failed to embrace and market our local food or ingredients. That’s what Dine Ph is all about. Advocating culinary tourism though promoting homegrown products. As Courage Asia’s President, Adolf Aran said "Dine Ph hopes the country will be able to achieve economic progress and, food and beverage industry shall go with it."

Truly, there is tourism with food.

4.  E nergetic live demo

With a big crowd to please and a whole day ahead of you, it was indeed an ordeal for the speakers to connect with this bunch of millennials. Good thing the Chefs gone beyond what were expected with them.
Chef Kalel energetically entertained and engaged with the students through raving into the beat while blending his curated cocktail inside his shiny silver shaker.

He even, asked the audience to name his smoothie dedicated for Ozamiz. At the end, the winning entry was " Awesamiz". What a brilliant way to describe its host city and the ingredients in it. Oh and yeah! Awezamiz is the official hashtag of this wonderful city.

5.  P romoting local dishes as well as ingredients
Whenever I am in a new place I usually look for the following: Catholic church, museum and, the best place to eat.I bet you only checked item number three. Oh yeah! I am that old soul to include the first two in my list. Enough said. Perhaps, most people who frequently travels whether for leisure or for work would agree with me: trying out a local cuisine completes your trip.

The two day event had an exhibit that showcased what Misamis Occidental has to offer— from coco sugar to corn coffee, you’ll definitely be amazed on how the locals were able to reinvent classic traditional food into something extra-ordinarily good.

6.   H andsome & beautiful speakers
Spectators embraced the speakers with their warmest welcome and loudest cheers echoing throughout the high ceiling and wide walls of The Promenade. I can’t blame them, though. Besides the inspiring discussions, the speakers mesmerized the crowd with their charm and wit.
After the event, the crowd gone gaga and ran over the speakers to take their autographs and selfies with them.
Students were also given freebies from the sponsors.
