5 Tips to survive inflatable aqua parks.

Some few years ago, inflatable playgrounds started to sail afloat along the tropical shores of the Philippines. I admit, seeing those colorful water playgrounds floating in vast waters under the bright sunshine is such an inviting scene, as if everything is fun and exciting here.

Yet, upon experiencing it for the first time at The Seashore Beach Club in San Juan, Batangas, I realized that being on those bouncy floaties is not as easy as swimming against a calm current. More than an adrenaline rush, it requires a focus mind and a tough heart to triumph the obstacles. So here are some tips to survive aqua inflatable parks:

1.Proper attire is preferable

I bet that selecting OOTDs for that beach trip is one of the things you sweat out: of course, who would not want to have an insta-worthy snapshot of your sweet escape. But, this is not the kind of activity wherein you should be garbed. Ditch those trendy swimsuit and opt to wear rash guards, leggings, and aqua shoes.

Rash guards and leggings is the perfect combo attire for this activity since the play area is too slippery and unstable especially when the breeze is bringing gigantic waves. It is inevitable that you’ll slip and fell on your face during the course of the activity. If you’re not wearing enough clothing to cover your mild skin then you might be getting scratches from some grains of the sands scattered all over the parks flooring. Also, aqua shoes will help you climb some slippery footholds.

2. Best with buddies

I think you’ll agree, that sometimes we need that friend to give us that little push: figuratively and literally. Same goes with this kind of activity. Having your buddy on the side will not only help you climb those slippery slopes but will guarantee your safety as well.

3. Make your hands free

Again, the aquapark is a bit unsteady: and it is such a struggle to balance oneself nor have a hold on the rubber handgrips. It is best that your hands are stuff-free so you can use all your might to overcome the obstacles. Better think it off again if you’re planning to carry on your mini waterproof cameras locked on monopods during the activity.

4. Strictly follow rules

Rules are not meant to restrict us from having fun but to ensure our safety. Whether your hanging yourself in a long zipline or diving-off a high cliff, please adhere with the rules and prioritize your safety.
One rule that I think is the same with other aqua parks is wearing of life vests at all times. Yeah, this policy might sound easy but I had encountered some jerks, in some of my trips, claiming that they are good swimmers and wearing a life vest is not necessary.
I strongly advise not to risk your safety; the waters are always unpredictable and accidents might happen anytime. So please stop being an annoying traveler and follow rules.
And please, don't just affix your signatures on those waivers. Make sure to read and understand every safety reminders specified.

5. Your Body and Mind should work together

The physically demanding obstacles also entails a focused and determined mind to finish. After all, there’s nothing quite as rewarding as that feeling you get when you conquered something pretty challenging.
