How did I score a free 3-day trip to Banaue, Sagada and Baguio?

Possibly, most of us wanted that much coveted relaxation trip. Yet, some things deter us to do so. Say for instance, you’ve been spending oodles of money on buying the latest gadgets that you can’t seem to save money to reach those dream destinations. Perhaps, you’re pretty much obsessed with work and frets that you might dismay your charming boss.

In my case, saving has been always a nightmare since I always make it a point to treat myself. I am the type of chic that would not hesitate to spend a dime for a flowy maxi dress or for a cute purse. Also, I always have the thirst to try out new coffee spots. Possibly, this is what they call living your life for the moment.  Yeah! Most  people would say it is a bad thing.
Yet, I must say that I love to travel especially if it’s for free so I felt overwhelmingly happy when I won a raffle in a Facebook Community named Travel Guides n Deals for an exciting 3 day trip to Banaue, Sagada and Baguio.

Travel Guides n Deals

Since, I wanted to be a travel blogger long before and I wanted to score some good travel deals, I decided to join few social media groups about travel and tourism. So to make the long story short I came across with travel Guides n Deals on Facebook.
Generally, the group would post photos of dream destinations and some unspoiled places waiting to be discovered. You can also get access to the current travel deals as well as links to blogs discussing some travel hacks and tips.
I don’t consider myself as an active member of the group since I would only check their posts once in a while. I also don’t have the habit of exchanging views and comments to each post.
Winning a Raffle
As mentioned earlier, I am not an active member thus I am flabbergasted at the same time indifferent when Travel Guides n Deals messaged me on November of 2015 that I won a 3-day trip to Banaue, Sagada and Baguio. Seriously, at first I thought it was a scam because it is so unlikely for me to win anything without me joining a raffle as well as without me participating in a giveaway.
I did experience a too good to be true moment nonetheless at the back of my mind I am wishing and praying whole heartedly that the victory is true. So I hurriedly researched about the legitimacy of the raffle.
Happily and luckily, it was legit. The raffle was in celebration of reaching 7000 members in their group and I was one of their 4 lucky winners for a trip in different dream destinations in the Philippines.
Another funny thing is that I was the 2nd winner for their Banaue,Sagada and Baguio Trip since their first drawn winner was not able to respond in their message.
Maybe, the trip is really meant for me since I've been wanting earnestly to try travelling alone. As Paulo Coelho put it into his own words, "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it".
Indeed, that was my chance to discover things and conquer my fears, it became an opportunity for me to be more independent and realized to never cease in exploring places.
Shout out to Travel Guides n Deals for this once in a lifetime chance of realizing that I can travel by myself.Watch out for my blog about my first solo trip!
