10 Travel Essentials to Bring in your every Trip

Packing may be stressful at times specially if you only have very limited space, time and allowed baggage weigh. The stress level would heighten when you started to ask the "What Ifs" (What if I  ran out of clean clothes? What if I get too cold? etc.).

Packing your things when you travel needs an exceptional skill of decision making. You should know to sort out the necessities and the luxuries. You should know what to prioritize on your list.
So I want to share my list with you. I hope you find this helpful in the future.

1.I.D/PASSPORT: Of course, if you are travelling abroad, you need a passport. But if you are travelling locally,it is still advisable to bring at least one ID since it is  often asked at seaports and bus terminals before you board. Also, some hotels are also asking for IDs before you check in.
Meanwhile,if you are travelling with a private or rented vehicle or if you decided to climb a mountain and do some camping, I still advice you to bring at least one ID. Why? simply because you never know what lies ahead of you. You might encounter any emergency and might as well help yourself by identifying who you are and who should be contacted in case you meet any accident.

2.MONEY- Some would say that this is not so important item since ATMs and Credit Cards are widely accepted almost every where. However, you can never be sure specially if you are exploring new places.
If you are travelling in a foreign country,it is much better to bring U.S Dollars because it is widely accepted everywhere, unlike, other currencies. However, if you don't have any dollars at your hand,it's better to exchange your cash at the airport. Since, the airport money changer got various currencies. Yet, you must   remember that exchange rates at the airport are higher.

3.MICROFIBER TOWEL: I included this item because of two reasons.First, not all hotels have available towels and second I have an issue with the cleanliness of the towels.Bearing the thought of how many people used it before.Moving forward, I would like to stress on the word "Microfiber". Don't just bring ordinary towels because it consumes too much space on your bags. Microfiber towels are very thin, light weight and dries quickly. You can find these towels on Department stores.

4.SCARF/SARONG: Two words,USEFUL and FASHIONABLE. This piece of cloth is one of the greatest inventions of fashion. Not too thick for a hot weather and not too thin for a cold weather.
Heading on the beach? This piece of cloth is definitely a must have.  It does not only compliment your OOTD but you will be surprise with the countless  ways you can use it such as using it as a beach mat for sun bathing, an instant sling bag for your belongings,an alternative towel to dry you up,a cover up for your bikinis or just wrap it around your body to warm you up during the cold breezy night at the beach.
I usually bring at least two when I travel. It is so easy to put it on your luggage or even your carry-on bags.

5.SUNGLASSES: One of my favorite item from this list.Sunglasses have been a must have for me not only when I travel but also whenever I go outside of my house. I use it not because its a fashion craze but because I wanna take advantage of its health benefits.
First,it blocks the harmful UV rays coming through your eyes. Too much UV rays coming into your eyes may cause Cataracts on the cornea of your eyes. This cause blurriness in your eyesight. Also, too much UV rays causes wrinkles. So aside from my eye cream with SPF,wearing sunglasses helps in preventing wrinkles penetrating the skin beside your eyes.
Lastly, whenever the sun glared down the sky and your eyes were almost blinded by its brightness, you tend to furrow your forehead.  Doing so constantly leaves permanent lines on your forehead. Wearing sunglasses will help you to have a better view and will prevent unintentional furrowing or frowning.

6.MEDICINES: For people who have allergies or other illnesses, you should never forget to bring your personal medicines specially if your travelling to remote places. You must also remember that different countries have different policies on buying medicines.
Also, it is advisable to bring over-the-counter drugs such as tablets for headaches, tummy aches or drowsiness. You just don't want to experience the hassle of looking for a drugstore during your vacation.
7.SUNBLOCK/MOSTURIZERS: Travelling is not an excuse for taking care of your skin. Always, bring sunblocks if you're travelling in tropical places and moisturizers when your heading to cold places.
SUNBLOCKS:Again,I would like to reiterate that  UV rays can have it's long term negative effects that we often take for granted. So don't hesitate to buy that sunblock and you'll worship it for it's long term benefits.
MOISTURIZER:Who does not want to have that baby soft and young looking skin? Moisturizers hydrate our skin to keep it looking fresh and make it smooth. Usually, cold weathers cause your skin to peel and I bet you don't want to look like a molting reptile in your vacation photos.
I also recommend lip balms to moisturize and protect your lips from the heat of the sun.
Just come to think of it,having different brands available in the market does not make it overrated rather its just a reminder that taking care of our skin must be one of our priorities.
8.WATERPROOF/SHOCKPROOF HANDY CAMERA: If you're not a professional photographer, please spare yourself on having the burden of bringing a gigantic camera.
"Gosh! I might scratch this thing." " Ooops! this thing is too sensitive." "Grrrr!!this thing is heavy."

Forgive me, but I don't see the essence of bringing SLR cameras in a vacation specially if you can buy a more user friendly, handy and cheaper camera that gives you the same high resolution photos. Additionally, you can buy a waterproof and shock proof cameras which I doubt SLR cameras have the same feature. Indeed, you can buy extra accessory for your SLR camera to be waterproof, scratch proof or shock proof but then again spare your self from all the paranoia.

9.BATTERIES/POWERBANKWhat else can be more horrifying for tourists during vacations than running out of batteries for their precious cameras and gadgets.
Your energy may not run out during your vacation but the energy from your batteries does. So better charged your power banks and bring extra batteries.

10.Eco-Bags: Forget the PLASTIC! Be environment friendly and bring your own shopping bags. There shall be no excuse of not bringing one because it is very thin, light weight, durable and can be folded easily.
Believe me, bringing one single shopping bag let's you move more freely than carrying different plastic bags of different sizes and shapes.
Lastly, doing your share for the environment is not a bad idea at all.
