10 Things I learned at Tree Top Adventure Baguio’s Team Building Activities

Famed for its extreme rides that will surely give you an adrenaline rush while enjoying a scenic view of nature, Tree Top Adventure now offers team building activities that will surely challenge your mental and physical prowess.

Last year I had the chance to try out Tree Top Adventure Subic’s extreme rides but it is my first time to be here at their branch in Baguio and try their Team Building Activities.
At first I thought, we will be asked to take the Superman Ride plenty of times to win or to run around the property to find some clues. Yet, to my surprise, it was not the kind of team building activity that would test and drain your vitality. The activities that we’ve experienced were specially designed to achieve a meaningful bonding with your team mates.
I believe that Tree Top Adventure Baguio Team Building Activities taught me a lot of things and made me realized that sometimes you’ve got to focus on details that you often ignore.
So going back with my review. Here are the 10 things that I learned at Tree Top Adventure Baguio’s Team Building Activities
Learn how to have fun during the Cheering activities
Before we started with the team building activities. We were first asked to have our own team cheer. Perhaps, this is a reminder to all of us that in everything we do, we should first learn how to have fun.
Learn to Listen at the ABC Game
The ABC Game required our team to form two lines back to back. Our team should recite the alphabet in a proper sequence. In this activity, listening is an important factor succeed. Like in every group, listening is vital to get ahead. If we don’t know to listen, we will likely get the wrong message thus we fail at the very beginning.
Learn to cooperate at the Gem Drop

The aim of Gem Drop at Tree Top Adventure Baguio is to achieve a smooth cube drop using push and pull techniques in the shortest possible time.I can compare the Gem Drop to the usual claw machine at the arcade. Yet, unlike the said machine wherein you get your most coveted plushy by yourself, you’ve got all your team mates to get that   heavy metal cube.
In this team building activity, cooperation is crucial to succeed in our goal. Like in every project at work or school you have to cooperate with your team members to succeed. Since, you can lose your chance with a single mistake or with a mere neglect.
Learn to embrace your differences at the Plank Step

Perhaps, the most enervating team building activity I’ve tried at Tree Top Adventure Baguio. In this game, my team was asked to make our ways from one stop to another using the planks given.
Seriously this game put me into great sweats due to my physique and my clumsiness in balancing. This game allowed me and my team members to break the barriers and be more comfortable with each other.
More so, this activity made me realize to embrace my flaws and work with it. After such, you should now learn to embrace your teams, literally and figuratively. Embracing them and their differences allows you to be more flexible and more compassionate with their needs.
Just always remember that working in diversity is inevitable yet learning to embrace the diversity is divine.

Learn to coordinate at the Bar Lifter Balancer

Your balancing skills will be tested in this team building activity. Our team was asked to lift our own bars without the marbles falling. In this game, I realize that in each group, each movement should be harmonious.
Everyone has a role and carries a weight at the Loop Lift

I find the Loop Lift equipment at Tree Top Adventure Baguio quite interesting. Possibly, because it looks like a giant metal hula hoop. Kidding aside, this team building activity requires us to carry the loop while balancing our own marbles and a marble at the center.
This game made me appreciate more  the efforts of my team members. Since I realized that everyone in a team carries a certain load. This activity should reminds us all to avoid being individualistic while working in a team because everyone has their role and no role is big or small.
Avoid Stress when Aiming for Your Goal at the Pipe Line

The mechanics of this game is simple, we shall aim to transfer the ball from one end to another using the tube without letting it fall.
Yes, it looks easy but it is not simple to do. In fact, this is the only game my team was unable to finish. Possibly, one of the reasons is we are so concentrated to the ball that all of us were getting stressed out. We started calling everyone’s attention. We forgot that in attaining a certain goal we should also look into the process on how you achieve it.
I must say that this is my favorite team building activity at Tree Top Adventure Baguio, because it made me realize that success is sweet if you know that you work hard for it but it does not mean that you should not enjoy the process of achieving it.
Think as One at the Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt at Tree Top Adventure Baguio, will test your mental prowess through solving some puzzles and clues. In this activity, our team was given a treasure map for us to form. After finding the piece of treasure, we were given a brainteaser to crack. The first team that will successfully solve the puzzle wins.
After this team building activity, I’ve realized that a team should not rely the thinking to a single individual. I believe that every idea is significant to contribute in a group’s success.

We can all be a leader
I’ve noticed that in every game, different team members were voluntarily leading the strategies to win the game. I like this thing because everyone were given a chance and most of us grabbed the opportunity to be one. This goes to show that everyone has their own strengths to uncover.

Work as a team

Most importantly, everyone in a team should know that everyone should work as one. Set aside those differences and be compassionate with others.
Thank you Tree Top Adventure Baguio for this awesome and meaningful experience.
